The River and the Mountain

The Padma River once asked the Himalayan mountains: 'Why do you stand so still while I flow endlessly?' The mountain replied: 'I stand still so that you may flow. Without my height, you would have no direction.' The river understood that strength comes in different forms — some flow, some stand firm, but both serve the world.
